This is a year-by-year list of aviation accidents that have occurred at airshows worldwide. __NOTOC__ == 2015 == *September 12 - An Aero L-39 Albatros jet, piloted by Jay "Flash" Gordon of Louisville, Kentucky, crashed approximately two minutes after take-off after entering a nose dive, which he did not pull out of at the Wings Over Big South Fork Air & Car Show in Scott County, Tennessee. *August 23 – Two Comco Ikarus C42, a two-seat, fixed tricycle gear, general aviation microlight airplane, manufactured in Germany by Comco Ikarus belonging to the "Grasshoppers" aerobatics team collided in mid-air during a three-ship display at the Dittinger Flugtage airshow in Dittingen, Switzerland. Grasshopper 1 and 2 were involved in the collision. Grasshopper 2 (D muhh) impacted a road and a house in the village of Dittingen. The aircraft disintegrated and burned. Grasshopper 1 (D-MSON) came down on the fence of a residence in the village of Dittingen. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. A photo from the scene shows a ballistic recovery parachute attached to the wreckage. *August 22 – A Hawker Hunter T7 (G-BXFI/WV372) crashed onto the A27 arterial road (dual carriageway) between Lancing and Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, England, while taking part in the 2015 Shoreham Airshow. Eleven people on the ground were killed and several others were injured, including the pilot of the plane. Witnesses told local TV that the jet appeared to have crashed when it failed to pull out of a loop manoeuvre. *August 15 – Sgt. First Class Corey Hood, 32, a member of the United States Army Parachute Team "Golden Knights" team died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital one day after he was critically injured when he struck an apartment building and fell to the ground following a mid-air collision with another parachutist belonging to the United States Navy Parachute Team "Leap Frogs" at the Chicago Air & Water Show. *August 2 – One of the two pilots of a Mi-28N of the "berkuts" display team, died while performing in Ryazan Region (Russian) during "Aviadarts" air show. Their helicopter started spinning and crashed after a failure of the tail rotor. The other pilot managed to escape with minor injuries by feet from the wreck. video: *August 1 – CarFest, one pilot died after his plane crashed into the ground. *June 27 – Steven O’Berg died when his Pitts S2-B biplane spun into the ground at the (Cameron Airshow ). *May 31 – Marco Ricci, member of the QBR team, died while performing in Alba Adriatica. After a mid-air collision with another member of the team, his plane plummeted to the sea.
